    Two ways to split, one bill

    A quick split takes one total and a number of people and gives you the per-person figure as you type — no Calculate button, no waiting. If everyone ordered something different, switch to splitting by item without starting again: the people, the tip and the service charge all carry over.

    Shared dishes are the common case rather than an afterthought. Put a starter on three people and it divides three ways; give somebody two shares of the pizza and they pay double. Leaving one person off the wine takes a single tap.

    The totals always add up

    Every amount is held as a whole number of cents, so nothing drifts. When a figure will not divide evenly the leftover cents are handed out one at a time in a fixed order, which means the individual shares always sum to exactly the bill — a €120 bill never quietly becomes €119.99.

    You can see the working at any point: tap somebody’s total for a line-by-line account of how it was reached, including which basis the tip was calculated on and where any rounding difference went.

    And then, who pays whom

    Tell SplitTab who actually paid the restaurant — one person, several people, a deposit from weeks ago, or partial amounts — and it works out the balances and suggests a short set of repayments. Copy the whole thing into a group chat, or copy one person’s message just for them.
