A service charge can be already included, a percentage or a fixed amount, and it can be shared proportionally, equally or by weights you set. The tip is separate, and you can see and change exactly what the percentage is calculated on — before tax, after tax, or on everything currently payable. SplitTab never suggests what to tip.
Enter the printed total and SplitTab will tell you the difference rather than silently closing the gap — usually a cover charge, a missing line or rounding. You choose whether to add it proportionally, split it equally, or go back and find the item.
