Rounds and people who leave early

Group lines into rounds — food, first round of drinks, dessert — so a long evening stays readable. Mark somebody finished when they go and their bill is locked where it stands; the “everyone” button then means everyone still at the table.

Someone joining late is not quietly added to earlier shared plates. You either put them on specific lines or you do not.

Fewer transfers at the end

With ten people and three payers, nobody wants thirty transfers. SplitTab nets everything off and matches the people owed against the people owing, so the group ends up with a handful of payments instead. It is one valid arrangement of several, and it says so.
